Love the outdoors and want to meet new people? Then why not join Eastern Angles and their community gardening club?
What to expect
Plant, grow, chat. Eastern Angles' gardening club is more than just about the plants, it’s about growing new friendships too. Whether green fingered or not, there's a place for you in the community garden.
With a courtyard in the centre of the Eastern Angles Centre, there are plants growing in soil and in pots. You can get involved with planting new bulbs, tending fruit, pruning trees and get the entire garden looking lovely for the summer.
With tea and coffee provided, rest assured there will be plenty of chances to soak up the beautiful rewards of your work (and hopefully enjoy some of the homegrown fruits too!).
Eastern Angles are also on the look out for unwanted garden furniture, equipment and ideally, a shed!
Join the Eastern Angles Centre from 10am-12 pm every Tuesday and help grow a green community in the heart of West Ipswich.
There is a free car park on-site, which you can enter using the large blue gates located on the right-hand side of Gatacre Road. Other car parks nearby which are pay and display include: South Street Car Park (10 min walk to theatre), Portman Road Car Park (16 min walk to theatre). The closest bus stop is one minute away, see the latest bus timetables here.
