Festival Timings
Saturday
12:00-21:30 From noon to dusk you can hit the beach and Kensington Gardens for a packed first day of our free summer solstice celebration.
22:00-02:00 At dusk the party moves off the sand and into venues around Lowestoft for our ticketed Sundown Events.
Sunday
03:30-05:00 Gather on the beach and join the sunrise celebration for our unique Dawn programme
10:00-16:00 Another free day of discovery, music, workshops and more under the solstice sun.
First Light is free and unticketed! You’ll only need a ticket if you want to attend one of our Sundown Events on Saturday night once the free beach programme finishes at 21:30.
How to get here
The nearest bus stop for the beach is Claremont Pier, a 5-10 minute walk from the festival site along the upper promenade. The nearest bus stop for Kensington Gardens is Rectory Road, a short 2 minute walk. Both are served by 1, 103, X1, 1A, 105, X2, 99, 106, X21, 102, 122 and X22 routes.
If you do choose to drive to First Light, our Festival Park & Walk is located at Kirkley & Pakefield Football Club and costs just £5 for 1 day or £8 for both Saturday and Sunday. Parking spaces can be booked at firstlightlowestoft.com/football-club-festival-parking/
