What to expect
Explore the collections and galleries together through play, stories, craft and science activities designed to encourage development, communication and curiosity about the world around us. The theme for June is ‘The Alphabet’.
Parents/carers must stay with their children throughout the session.
The main session will be on the ground floor, with pushchair access to the Wolsey Art Gallery via the side garden entrance. Part of the session may involve exploring the Mansion using the stairs. Please let us know if you have any access requirements when you book, as there is no lift.
You can book your ticket via the Ipswich Museums' website. Choose from a range of 45-minute sessions - 10am - 10.45am and 11.15am - midday
How to get here
Car parks nearby which are pay and display include - Crown Pools (five minute walk). Ipswich is just 1 hour 15 minutes on the main train line from London to Norwich. Arriving at Ipswich Station the museum is approximately 20 minute walk or short bus ride to the town centre. The museum is a five minute walk from Tower Ramparts bus station in the town centre - see the latest bus timetables here.
