This year’s One Big Multicultural Festival to be held on Sunday 31 August, promises to be its biggest yet! Both in terms of variety of acts on stage and the many side stalls too.
The much anticipated event attracts over 5,000 visitors each year and this year, will be the 13 time the festival has been held in the heart of Ipswich at Alexandra Park.
One of the singers due to perform this year is Nazneen Molu originally from Mombasa, Kenya. Nazneed now lives in Ipswich. She has a beautiful singing voice and will be lighting up the stage with both her vocals and colourful, traditional dress.
The event kicks off at 12noon and host for the afternoon is BBC Radio Suffolk, Breakfast Show Host Wayne Bavin
There will also be a children’s funfair and sporting activities to have a go at too including cricket and the traditional Indian sport Kabaddi. Plus facepainting, henna art, and bakes and cakes to enjoy.
The event is free to attend, and the gates of Alexandra Park will be open from 12noon though to 6pm.
