During this time, our Greene Room Bar will also be open for parents and caregivers to enjoy a tea/coffee whilst their young people enjoy the stories being told, sessions will also include a small craft activity.

How to get here
The Theatre Royal is on Westgate Street at the top of Maynewater Lane, opposite the Greene King Brewery & Café. On foot, you’ll enter through the front entrance of the theatre.
The Theatre is a 15-minute walk from the Arc Shopping Centre and just 5-minutes from the Abbey Gardens.
If you are attending a performance, the Greene King Staff Car Park is made available to our visitors for evening and weekend performances only.
The Greene King Staff Car Park is accessed off Cullum Road (A1302) and opens 1 hour before your performance at a charge per vehicle. Access to the Theatre is via steps (3-minute walk). Wheelchair users and customers with additional access requirements may be dropped-off for step- free access at the front of the theatre on Westgate Street. You can book a Parking Space here.
If you are visiting on a weekday, in the daytime, we recommend Ram Meadow Car Park, IP33 1XT on Cotton Lane (12-minute walk).
Bury St Edmunds Train Station is a 20-25-minute walk from the theatre, with connections to Cambridge, Ipswich and the London-Norwich line. You can check train times and service updates on the National Rail website.
