Traditional garden sheds can often be quite solitary in nature, while Men’s Shed are quite the opposite They are about social connections and friendship building, sharing skills and knowledge and of course, laughter.
Sheds are about meeting like-minded people and having someone to share your worries with. They are about having fun, sharing skills and knowledge with one another, and gaining a renewed sense of purpose and belonging.
As a by-product of all that, they reduce isolation and feelings of loneliness, they allow people to deal with mental health challenges more easily and remain independent, they re-build community and in some cases, they help save lives.
The group meet at the following times -
Monday - 10am - 2pm
Wednesday - 10am - 2pm
First and third Friday of the month - 10am - 2pm
